Springwell wishes you a Happy Inauguration Day

Today, we celebrate the peaceful transition of power in our American democracy. In his inauguration speech, President Biden called for a return to values that make our democracy strong.

No matter where one stands in the political spectrum, President Biden reminds us of what makes us great: our belief in civility in governance, our ability to share opposing opinions and disagree peacefully, our ability to see humanity in those we consider an enemy, and our ability to transmute difficult emotions like resentment and anger.

At Springwell, we are ready to celebrate this new chapter in our country’s story. We celebrate the diversity in the White House with Vice President Kamala Harris, who is the first woman, first African American, and first Asian American to hold that office.

In this time of so many crises, we can come together to solve the greatest challenges of our time.

All of us at the Springwell School look to the future and recommit to cultivating in our students the hearts, minds, and hands required to lead and strengthen the American project and all of our communities.
