Chinese books about Black history, Mandarin summer camps, and a gift

Dear Springwell families,

In today's climate, we at Springwell are dedicated to ensuring that our community of parents and educators have the resources we need to stand in solidarity with our African American brothers and sisters during these trying times.

Chinese books about Black history

For families learning Mandarin, please see this awesome list of Chinese books about Black history and books with Black protagonists. Raising social awareness and developing empathy can happen in any language.

Mandarin Summer Camps in July

All children can benefit from exposure to different languages and diverse cultures. Even if fluency isn't your main goal, our camps are fun and engaging, and is a wonderful way to expose your children to diverse cultures.

This year's camps are inspired by traditional Folktales and Fables about the water, the forest, and the sky. Capture your children’s imaginations through a deep immersion in culture. Have fun exploring Mandarin language, traditional Chinese music, basic martial arts and dance movement and arts based on these traditional stories.

Both full immersion and 50/50 options for beginners are available.

SPOTS LIMITED TO 20
To maximize engagement, each virtual summer camp session is limited to 20 children.

Do you miss circle time?
We miss you too! To show some love, here is a gift video of one of Nina Laoshi’s circle times. Enjoy!
